Legends of Tomorrow 2×13: “Land of the Lost”

The Legends are trying to figure out a way to locate the last missing piece of the Spear of Destiny and neither the Medallion nor Rip is coming to any use. Evil Rip is still trying to take over the ship from his cell with the help of an override code that eventually works.

He gets out of the jail and puts the whole timeship on lockdown and sets it to self-destruct. Jax somehow manages to stop the ship from exploding but couldn’t stop evil Rip from destroying the Medallion that was the team’s only chance to locate Nate’s grandfather who has the last missing piece of the spear. They crash land into the Cretaceous Period where Ray was sent by former good Rip. Nate, Amaya and Ray go out into the dino-jungle to recover the piece of the ship that is their only way out of this Jurrasic World.

Mick suggests a way to recover passed out evil Rip’s memory older memories. The professor, Sara, Jax and Mick set up everything and Jax and Sara enter Rip’s mind. And the first person they meet is evil Sara who gets into a brawl with the real Sara. The both of them somehow take care of her and move forward. Jax and Sara split, but she gets captured and sent to a lockup where good Rip is being held captive.

Sara convinces her that she is on his side and Jax meets another person in Rip’s brain. Guess who. It’s Gideon. Well, her embodiment. The both of them get Sara and Rip out of there and all of them try to convince Rip that all of it is not real. The Evil Atom, Mick, Sara and Jax come back but Sara is able to defeat herself and Jax gets rid of F.I.R.E.S.T.O.R.M. But they still return and now it’s up to Rip to believe. Rip makes the Evil legends go away with his imaginary powers. Sara and Jax somehow get out of Rip’s brain but he and Miss Gideon are still stuck there. They exchange emotional dialogues and kiss goodbye.

Good Rip is back and he greets all the new and old members of the team after which Sara asks where the last piece if the Spear is hidden. They take us in 1970 where an astronaut named John Swiggert(named after astronaut Jack Swiggert) is being tested out for his mission on Apollo 13 by Dr.Eobard Thawne.

The episode was really great. Nate is still confused if he wants to be with Amaya or not even though Ray advised him not to. We also may see some tension between Sara and Rip in the future regarding who will remain the Captain of the ship.
